Joyful disciples honoured at Govt House

Once again a small group of our generous and positive parishioners who quietly & lovingly go about helping others and supporting Fr John and Fr Krish were acknowledged with an intimate morning tea at Government House on Monday 12 August 2019 hosted by Mrs Lan Le.

Mrs Le, herself a Catholic, credits her experiences as a refugee for strengthening her religious convictions. She described the deep gratitude she feels for Caritas and the Catholic Church who provided vital assistance to her and the now Governor, both in Vietnam and after they settled in Pennington in 1977. Both tireless volunteers themselves, Mrs Le was full of praise for our Henley Beach parish missionary disciples who have provided ongoing support and assistance to Fr John and so many others in the parish.
